Background:

Born and raised in Michigan, Deward graduated from St. Johns High School, which prepared him for The University of Michigan's College of Architecture + Urban Planning.  After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture, Deward moved to Traverse City. As an Apprenticing Architect for three years with Clark Walter Sirrine Architects there were many life-building activities that led to a move to Colorado:

• Continued training motorcyclists as a RiderCoach of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation
• Learned to fly at Northwestern Michigan College's Aviation Program; completed A-SEL Private Pilot License with Instrument Rating
• Married Jennifer in October 2001

January 2002 moved to Colorado so to pursue the Masters of Architecture degree at the University of Colorado @ Denver beginning September 2002. After one semester, changed focus to a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration on Electronic Commerce. Completed MBA in March 2005. 

Experience:

After 10 years of experience in Architecture and an MBA in eCommerce, Deward moved with his wife and son back to Northern Michigan to be closer to family. Soon after the decision to move back to Michigan, the concept of Contractorsyoucantrust.com came to fruition. The melding of an understanding of construction, contractors, architects, engineers, and helping homeowners and business owners build their dreams, has defined the mission of Contractorsyoucantrust.com.
